Fishermen’s Cove (established 1987) is a small dive resort located in Puerto Galera
  on the island of Mindoro in the Philippines (see map). It is a quiet and private place
   with a family ambiance. It consists of 10 bungalows, each with private bathroom
     and warm water, a restaurant with typical Italian cuisine, serving excellent
         fish, homemade pasta
           and bread. For
          those who want
      to experience typical
       local flavor we also
     serve Filipino and other
         oriental dishes.
      The resort has been
       designed in a native
         style that blends
       perfectly with the
         beautiful nature.
       It lies well protected
     in a small picturesque bay
     with 4 beautiful lonely
    beaches in the vicinity,
    and only walking distance
      away from the town.
       Giuseppe, the Italian host, is at
       your service every day. He accompanies all excursions, whether
        on land or underwater. Back from our daily trips you may want
         to relax in our spacious gazebo. Skilled masseuses will restore
           your energy with reinvigorating massages, lymph node
         drainage, aroma therapy, manicure, pedicure etc. The
        gazebo also includes a billiard table and a power gym.
      For the night-lifers  we will organize a transport to the
    nearby town or to Sabang Beach where several bars open
  after sunset and entertain until the wee small hours
       Every day our boat is ready to take you to a new
   excitement. Within a few minutes we can reach numerous
  diving and snorkeling sites. For lunch we stop on a beach and
 grill fish. In the afternoon we continue to dive or just to dip into
   the sea. The boat excursions aim to satisfy divers and non-
    divers alike and to allow our guests to discover the whole
           area of Puerto Galera and enjoy its variety.

   wrecks, shallow areas,

of all breathtaking
coral gardens and

We reach the Cave of Aras after a 40 minutes Jeepney ride
     plus a one hour walk uphill Mt. Halcon. The cave is easy to
                                         explore, if you don’t mind the
                                                               hundreds
                                                                of harmless
                                                                  bats flying
                                                                     around.
                                                                   15 minutes
                                                                    later we
                                                                     arrive at
                                                                      a big
                                                                      opening
                                                                      where
                                                                     bright
                                                                    daylight
                                                                   dazzles
                                                             the eyes. Here
                                                      too, some waterfalls
                                     call for a descent on ropes. On our
                           way home more waterfalls are challenging
One has to get up early in the morning in order to
 watch the bird migration at Lake Najau. After a
 80 km ride, either on a Jeepney or on motor bikes,
                                      we got a spectacular
                                        sight on all kinds
                                          of birds,
                                          particularly
                                          during the
                                          migration
                                         season. On
                                        our way back
                                       we will visit the
                                      market of Calapan,
                                 the capital of Oriental Mindoro
The resort consists of 9 bungalows built in native style from mostly natural materials. There are also 6 spacious deluxe rooms (35m2) with air conditioning and TV
